Monthly Thought: Weclome to 2008, Welcome to the New Look Blog
So I'm 4 days late, but Happy New Year one and all!
To go with the New year I decided I would spend a little more time on the design of my blog, so for the last few weeks I have searched the net looking for a few free designs that I liked. (Being a developer my design skills suck!)
As we are all different I couldn't find one I liked totally but I stumbled across Designs by Darren Where I found two designs I liked the News Portal and the Tech blog so I merged the parts I liked and now have what you see. Which I hope is a lot better looking then the last Irn-Bru looking one.
So now we are into 2008 what does it hold in store for us? Well other then being my 12th Year as a Web Developer. I think it will be the year of IPTV with the launch of BBC iPlayer on xmas day and the fact that a lot of UK Broadcasters have chosen to go with Jeremy Allaire's (You the Man!) Bright Cove It certainly will be fun.
With MySpace and FaceBook firmly in most Web Users bookmarks or favourites (Depends which browser you use) what will be the next Social Networking website? (Well I know which one I want to be in everyone's at the end of 2008 shhhhhhhhh!)
On a personal note, 2008 is going to be a year where I will try to get myself a little fitter, or at least lose some of this excess weight (Before the Airlines start to charge me :) So I have a friendly competition with Toby Tremayne (Speaker at Scotch on the Rocks 2008) to lose at least 2 stone by the start of Scotch on the Rocks 2008 in June. I'll try to blog about my journey of the new Big Kev or will that me Small Kev or Not So Big Mad Kev?
Ah yes Scotch on the Rocks 2008 which reminds me, that 2008 will be a great year for ColdFusion conferences in the Europe with CFUnited Europe, CFDevCon and Adobe Max Europe 2008 in....... I think Amsterdam (No insider info but its a good place to guess)
The only other ColdFusion announcement for 2008 is going to be the updater for 64bit Systems (Mac and Windows)
