Anyone for A Wee Dram of Scotch?
As has already been announced that CFDEVCON has sadly had to cancel due to lack of funding; the Scotch on the Rocks team have come to the rescue to announce A Wee Dram of Scotch.
For those who didn't make it to Scotch on the Rocks 2005/7 or 2008 then this is your chance to see the organised chaos in action :)
We are still in the mists of finding a venue (We have a Final List) but we have a Schdeule ready:

To cover the cost of the venue, we are having to ask for a small donation of £10 per head in cash on the door, which will give you 2 free drinks and a Discount on SOTR09. Once we finailse the venue we will be opening up registrations as numbers will be limited.
We'll also be announcing SOTR09 Dates, Costs and the Website

I was going to speak at CFDevCon and had book a UK vacation around it. If you are looking for another speaker from the US let me know.
Kurt, really sorry if the cancelation affected your vacation, and hope it hasn't resulted in any bad feelings, sadly we couldn't afford the οΎ£35k venue bill out of our own pockets. Hopefully A Wee Dram, albeit a much smaller 1 day mini-conference with minimal seats available, will at least partly make up for it.
@Russ no problem, it actually worked out just fine because my wife and were planning a UK vacation anyway. So CFDevCon would have been icing on the cake. Even though it didn't happen we are having a great time and I enjoyed speaking at Wee Dram of Scotch so I think it all worked out in the end.
