Grinning like a cheshire cat

Well I got home tonight, and find a letter from HSBC.

Oh well I thinks another demand for money.... no wait they have ready sent that this month.

Well blow me down they have offered ᆪ4,500 out of the ᆪ5,180.50 asked for. So thats is nearly ᆪ700 short, then add the ᆪ250 for the Money Claim Online thats nearly ᆪ1000 short but who cares? It pays a big loan off gives me more money each month happy days!!!!!

Oh and no account closure ;)

Bank Charges Update

On the morning of Monday 2nd July 2007 I checked my Money Claim On-line Account to see the current state of play, as the date for HSBC's defence to be put in was Saturday 7th July 2007 blow be down it says a defence was entered, the site now says it cannot continue on-line.

So I've been waiting for the Defence to be sent to me, and Saturday 7th July 2007 I get the defence from Northampton court (This is the court that MCOL uses) and tells me it has been transferred to my local court in this case, Staines County Court. Now the letter has some hand written changes made to it, one it seems the system said that it had be transferred a court that covers Defendants area. Defendant was crossed out and Claimant was hand written it, it also had the last line crossed out giving details on the Allocation Questionnaire that I will need to fill out and return. So the pack didn't have the Questionnaire just a copy of the defence by HSBC and a notice of transfer from the Judge at Northampton court.

So this morning Monday 9th July 2007 I thought I best call Staines County court to ensure everything was going as planned, to which I was asked is this a bank charges claim, and I reply yes. I get told that they are getting so many of these that they now have a dedicated judge at Guildford. They said I should wait to hear back from Guildford court on the next stage, so I hope I will get something this week. I think I will get the Questionnaire and will need it back with ᆪ100. Then I have to wait for a court date. From what I have read HSBC have never gone this far and have always settle before the court date so here's hoping.

One thing I did notice is that I made a mistake on my claim, that on the Excel Spreadsheet I got from Penalty Charges That I didn't change that Interest date set on the form, it set to 7th April 2006 when I change this to the date I made the claim 2nd June 2007 I get an additional ᆪ477.64 of interest so that's my bad. Best go find out what if anything I can do about it.

Bank Charges Update oh and Comments now working

Well today I checked my Money Claim online account and it says that HSBC have entered a defense so off to court I go and another ᆪ100 to the courts, which hopefully I will get back.

Only thing I'm worried about is the fact I messed up the interest calculation and was less then it should be so just hoping if I admit to it, it will all be ok.

Oh btw my comments are now fixed, thanks to Peter Bell letting me know.
