About Me

I have been working with web technologies since 1996; in this time I have worked in many varied and exciting roles. Including, technical support, client liaison, team leading, cutting edge technology development and Technical Architect / Lead on some high profile projects within Sky (Sky Sports Active & Sky News Active) and more recently with a Small Software House developing a web based Electronic Prescription System for roll out to English Pharmacies.

I have a strong passion for all things technical namely eXtreme Programming and other agile methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, in budget and above all on specification. The whole モWeb 2.0ヤ has given, I feel a new release to life to the Internet and made if more friendly for the technophobes out there. Of course the term モWeb 2.0ヤ is not understood by everyone as it has multiple meanings, is it the technology? AJAX, Flex or Silver Light? Is it the concept the Social Websites, the video sharing like youtube? My thoughts; well its all this combined. If you like モWeb 1.0ヤ was really for us techie geeks and others who had the will to learn how to モSurfヤ the web. Now with the new technologies its open to everyone, young & old, disabled & able bodied alike.

We certainly have some exciting times ahead with Adobeメs Flex/AIR and Microsoftメs Silver Light. Both of which will help push the boundaries of the Internet until モWeb 3.0ヤ comes along. ;)

I have recently, as some people say crossed over to the dark side and purchased a Mac Book pro, to the people who say this then they are totally ill informed of the power of the new Intel Macメs with the fact you can still run your Windows XP applications and with VMWare Fusion run them as if they where installed on your Mac Directly.

So to this end I hope you can see that I have a strong passion for technology and the will to push it to the boundaries and further if need be.

If you want to buy me anything from My Wish List I wouldn't mind ;)
