After I released my ColdFusion Builder /
Eclipse cheat sheet which contains some handy shortcut keys for daily
development, I got quite a few responses back thanking me for some new
shortcuts they never knew about.
So this got me thinking, although it’s all
well and good having them listed, and have a list of must have eclipse plugins
and other developer tools, you also need to see them in action.
Some of you may know, that I’ve accepted a
Job at General Electric in Leeds UK. I’ve lived in London for the whole of my
life but with this change I need to move to Leeds so it’s a big upheaval for my
girlfriend and I but means we finally get a place together.
One of the main things I wanted as part of
the move was a room of my own for an office. Which the house we have managed to
secure has (and an additional room for the girlfriends junk shoes and
clothes)
So once we’re moved in and settled, I will
start a whole series of screencasts showing what some of these shortcuts keys
do, and how to use them in real coding situations rather then just theory; or
just thing oh that’s cool that may come in handy.
I’ll cover not just eclipse shortcut keys
& plugins but other tools that help me with my day to day development
including Charles, Fusion Debug, Jing, Subversion, Mercurial and a few more as
they come to mind.
So please bear with me, during my move and
I’ll have a lot of cool content up over the next few months.
